DCP– DCP का Full Form “Deputy Commissioner of Police” है। DCP का हिंदी में फुल फॉर्म “पुलिस उपायुक्त” हैं। मुंबई और दिल्ली जैसे बड़े शहरों में बहुत सारे पुलिस अधिकारी हैं जो जिला पुलिस के लिए काम करते हैं। उन्हें उपायुक्त कहा जाता है, और उनके पास अधीक्षक का पद होता है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वे जिला पुलिस के प्रभारी हैं।

DCP का पूरा नाम “Deputy Commissioner of Police” है। यह भारतीय पुलिस बल में एक पुलिस अधिकारी का रैंक है। मुंबई, दिल्ली, हैदराबाद और बैंगलोर जैसे पुलिस आयुक्तालय प्रणाली वाले शहरों में, जिला पुलिस के प्रमुख को पुलिस उपायुक्त (DCP) कहा जाता है, जो पुलिस अधीक्षक (SP) के समान होता है। अधिकारी के कंधे पर एक तारे के ऊपर राष्ट्रीय चिन्ह उसकी रैंक दर्शाता है। यह जॉब सिर्फ शहरों में ही होती है।
DCP कैसे बने? | How To Become DCP In Hindi
यह पद वरिष्ठ स्तर का IPS पद है। एक IPS अधिकारी को 4 साल में अतिरिक्त SP/DCP के रूप में वरिष्ठ पैमाने पर पदोन्नत किया जाता है। एक DCP के पास आमतौर पर एक IPS अधिकारी के रूप में न्यूनतम 6/7 वर्ष होते हैं। तो, एक डीसीपी बनने के लिए आपको पहले एक आईपीएस अधिकारी बनना होगा जो यूपीएससी के माध्यम से सीधी भर्ती या राज्य पुलिस सेवा से पदोन्नति के माध्यम से हो सकता है।
एक आईपीएस अधिकारी को 4 साल में अतिरिक्त एसपी या डीसीपी के रूप में पदोन्नत किया जाता है। एक डीसीपी आमतौर पर एक आईपीएस अधिकारी के रूप में न्यूनतम 6/7 वर्ष का होता है। डीसीपी बनने के लिए सबसे पहले एक आईपीएस अधिकारी होना चाहिए जो यूपीएससी हो या राज्य पुलिस सेवा से पदोन्नति हो। सीधे भर्ती होने वाला आईपीएस अधिकारी पांच साल के भीतर एसपी के स्तर पर पहुंच जाता है। और राज्यों में सीधी भर्ती होने वाला पुलिस उपाधीक्षक [DCP] 14 साल की सेवा पूरी करने के बाद स्तर पर पहुंच जाता है।
